Our Instuctors

Owners of Pilates Revival, Dina Manes and Karen Spohn bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to their teaching making it both effective and fun! Both are 3rd generation teachers trained at the world renowned Pilates Center of Boulder. Both are committed to the Classical Pilates system which means we adhere to working within the intention, order, and ideals of Joseph Pilates.

Dina Manes

Dina's lifelong passion for Pilates began at age nineteen and shortly after she became a certified instructor through The Pilates Center of Boulder (1997). Since then, Dina has been teaching and running Pilates Studios in Colorado and New York. She teaches with an emphasis on breathing, proper alignment and creating lasting benefits in and out of the studio. Dina has an especially keen eye for spotting imbalances and working with her students to improve posture and movement patterns. She has been on staff at The Pilates Center advising students of the training program, teaches workshops, and is currently on staff for the Teacher Training Program at Functional Strength Pilates in Lone Tree, CO. Dina’s classical training is informed by her study of Anatomy and Iyengar Yoga. She has also earned her Master’s level Certification through The Pilates Center and is a certified CoreAlign Instructor.

Additionally, in 2001, Dina earned her Masters in Social Work with a special focus on working with people in Therapeutic Horse Back Riding programs. While running her own studio in North Salem, New York, Dina ran an outreach Pilates program with at risk youth and created and taught a Pilates on horseback program. Since her return to Colorado in 2006, Dina has been excited to share her teaching and expertise with the local community. When away from the studio Dina loves to enjoy the Colorado mountains; hiking, skiing, snowboarding; spending time with her dogs, horses, family and friends.

Karen Spohn

Karen's love of movement began during childhood in her home state, Wisconsin, where she grew up as a dancer. While earning her college majors of dance and psychology, she was introduced to Pilates mat repertoire, and her passion to share this method was ignited. She moved to Colorado in 2001 and completed the Advanced Teacher Training program at The Pilates Center, in Boulder.

Ever since, Karen has benefited from, and seen in her clients, the power Pilates can have in one's life. She has also completed many other trainings such as, Pilates for Pregnancy, CoreAlign®, Rocktape® kinesiology taping, and she continues to study anatomy and functional movement screens including those taught by the teaching team of Immaculate Dissection.

Another extremely beneficial training Karen employs in private sessions is Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT)® . NKT® is a manual muscle testing technique used to help find the root cause of dysfunctional movement patterns. Once a dystunctional pattern is found, clients receive correctives to re-program the functional movement. Karen brings compassionate care to every client, and strives to facilitate and empower clients in their own health and wellbeing journey. Outside of the studio, she can be found driving and cheering on her active kids, and enjoying time in the great outdoors.

Erin Lomax

Erin Lomax started Pilates in 2014 after long-distance running sidelined her with knee and shoulder injuries. She fell in love with the depth and efficiency of the Pilates method and decided to become an instructor. Erin completed her classical Pilates teacher training at Functional Strength Pilates in 2019. Her style of teaching encourages students to build self-awareness and strength. She loves watching students have "ah ha!" moments and find new connections in their bodies. When not teaching, Erin enjoys writing, cooking, and keeping up with her husband, four kids, two dogs, and two cats.
